SL.K.1
Participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about kindergarten topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups.
- Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., listening to others and taking turns speaking about the topics and texts under discussion).
- Continue a conversation through multiple exchange

SL.K.2
Confirm understanding of a text read aloud or information presented orally or through other media by asking and answering questions about key details and requesting clarification if something is not understood.

Materials:

Chromebooks with access to Discovery Education, poster board, materials to create a poster

Procedures: The students will work in groups on Chromebooks. They will go to the Discovery Education website where the teacher has created a board for research about snow. As a group, the students will learn new facts about snow. When this is completed the students will choose how to present the new information. They can choose to make a poster or a video using the Chromebooks. Each group will present to the whole class.
Follow-Up
The students could also complete an informational writing piece individually.
