Class Information:
Room Number: 243
Students per Class: 35
Class Description:
This year, I've had the privilege to team teach with one of my very dear friends. I teach the math, science & social studies to both of our classes She teaches the reading and math.
Position:
Third Grade Teacher
Needs:
As far as technological needs, I've acquired a Microsoft program that will allow me to create questions on my existing powerpoint lessons. I'd need a wireless mouse for each of my students in order to use it properly. Eventually, I'd also love to have a smart board.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every child can learn if the right vehicle for learning is presented to them.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I'm an only child. I've been married for five years to my wonderful husband, Chris. I have a hamster named Chocolate that I adore!
College and Degrees:
I have a Bachelor's degree from Bob Jones University, and most recently gained National Board Certification.
Activities:
On the weekends, I participate in activities at my local church. I enjoy scrapbooking, singing and playing the piano.
Favorite Books:
The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell is one of my favorites. I just read 'The Other Wes Moore' and it gave me such great perspective on how little choices can make a difference.
Why Do I Teach?:
What I love best about teaching is seeing the look on a students' face when they finally 'get it'. It's the best and most rewarding part of my job.
