My Philosophy:
I believe that ALL students should have access to technology. We have such a high poverty index in our school, and without outside funding, our district would never be able to help meet their technology needs that are not being met at home.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I have taught science for 11 years, have 2 masters degrees, and am National Board certified. I am also in the process of working on my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction because I am so interested in writing curricula. I am married and have two teenage daughters.
College and Degrees:
Medical University of SC (BSMT and MHSA). Converse College (M.Ed.) Gardner Webb University (currently working on doctorate)
Activities:
Reading, technology, spending time with family. I also love traveling.

Anything having to do with science, but I read ALL types of books.

Employment History:
I have worked as a Medical Technologist in the Microbiology lab, as the Vice President of a hospital, as the Executive Director of an Arts Council, and then the past 11 years as a teacher.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love students! I have always loved learning, and I like to pass that love of learning on to others. I love when students have their "A-ha!" moments and begin to think science is cool.
