Class Description:
Our diverse class (mostly English Second Language students) has a thirst for learning and love getting out of the classroom! We hope to include digital cameras into a part of our classroom routine, which regularly includes making our own books and movies, as well as growing plants and raising tadpoles.

Our class and school is in need of updated, recent technology, including digital cameras for the students and a document camera for the teacher and students to utilize.
My Philosophy:
I believe education is experiential and feel students learn best in their own world, applying their learning to life. I hope to instill a passion and interest for learning within each of my students.

About Me:
I have travelled throughout the world and love sharing my experiences with my students. I am a career change teacher, previously a graphic designer for the software division of IBM. I have always had a knack and interest for technology and computers.
College and Degrees:
University of Texas at Austin, Bachelor of Science in Art Direction; San Diego State University, Teaching Certification; University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Masters in Curriculum and Instructional Supervision
Activities:
I love swimming, bike riding, teaching, reading, listening to music, sewing and other crafting, and much more!
Favorite Books:
The Count of Monte Cristo is my all-time favorite classic, but I also love Breakfast of Champions, The Alchemist, Ishmael, Botany of Desire, Kitchen Confidential, The Lorax, and Three Cups of Tea... as well as hundreds others!

Employment History:
Previously an IBM Art Director, I now teach third grade in North Carolina at a small, diverse, suburban school.

Because I love working with children and sharing the beauties of the world with them.
