Jesup Elementary School
Hometown:
Jesup, Georgia
Class Information:
Students per Class: 25
Class Description:
I teach fourth grade math & science in a very high poverty school.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
We need a Flip. We would use this to document our learning and to create cross-curricular learning for all subjects.
My Philosophy:
Learning is a verb and verbs are action words. Therefore, learning should be active, engaging and meaningful. There are no wrong answers, just answers that don't work, so we need to try something else in order to find the working combination. Answers that work and those that don't, both involve learning.

"People who spell things one way lack imagination." Mark Twain

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I desire to help create productive citizens for tomorrow. We need students who can operate in a fast-paced global world as well as have the skills needed to critically think and solve the problems that will arise in daily life. Students should be able to take true learning from "paper" and put it into real-life action seamlessly, true learning will change their lives forever and for the better. I teach because I want to be the person that helps them discover all the potential they each have and to make the most of it.
