Class Description:
My class is made up of a fantastic group of second graders. The class is a variety of male/female, mixed ability levels, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Students are excited to learn and love using the little bit of technology we currently have. All students are excited to increase our technology usage and materials.
Needs:
We are fortunate to have a large number of English Language Learners in second grade. In my classroom there are many students who are new to our country. I teach some students who have special needs and many general education students. I teach students who are on grade level, below grade level and a above grade level. Technology will assist me in meeting the needs of my students. We currently have only one computer in the entire classroom. This computer is shared among all 21 students and myself. We are hoping Digital Wish helps us to create a classroom that is technology advanced.
My Philosophy:
I strive to create a climate in which ALL students are excited to learn in a fun, safe environment. I believe that all students can succeed and it is my job to be sure they do. If I am able to motivate and engage students, differentiate to meet all student needs, and make learning fun then all students will meet with success.

About Me:
I grew up in Long Beach, New York and always dreamed of being a teacher. I studied Elementary Education in Maryland and began teaching in Maryland in 2002. I can honestly say I love my job and am very fortunate to enjoy going to work. Although there are many challenges, teaching is the perfect job for me!

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Being a positive part of a child's life is so rewarding. Motivating students to want to learn motivates me.
