Standard Digital Camera Lab, $2799.00, 7.44% raised
Standard Digital Camera Lab Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
I would like to share with you my classroom experience. My name is Jamie Polk from the Rosie M.C. Sorrells-School of Education and Social Services at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center in Dallas, Texas. This school year, I am teaching a brand new course named Principles of Information Technology. In this course one of the learning standards is to teach the students how to operate a computer peripheral such as a digital camera. Upon completion of this assignment, the students will be able to choose the right digital camera for the type of pictures they are going to take, and successfully transfer images from the camera to their computer for editing. Students are also learning how to take quality pictures using the Rule of Thirds. I have a total of 85 students that take this course and not all of them have digital cameras. I only have 2 Kodak Digital Cameras for my classroom- Easy Share Z915 and Easy Share C330. I don’t even have the right batteries or memory to go along with these cameras. So it was a challenge to do this exciting lesson. The students that I teach come from low-income households that cannot afford this luxury. Some students even resorted to using their cell phones, which they did not get a good picture. Please help us Anything would be appreciated. I can be contacted at [email protected] or you can call me at 972-925-6112. Thank you! Ms. Jamie Polk
