Class Description:

Needs:
Wow--we want and need a lot! :) Our class loves, loves, loves using technology to learn! While we do have some great equipment in our school, it is shared among 7 grade levels! It would be great to have some of the following items in our classroom that would just be "ours": mobile lab, podcasting equipment, projector, document camera, and interactive whiteboard (preferrably with a projector connected on top).
My Philosophy:
Children are our future--if you don't engage them now, they become disengaged. Do we really want a future of bored individuals?

Why Do I Teach?:
Students are like journals with blank pages. I love to help them fill these pages with experiences that foster a love of learning. The use of technology in my classroom to engage learners is not only fun, its crucial in this day and age! I love to engage students in projects and activities that make them love coming to school each day, and give them a sense of wonder and excitement. My favorite sound in my classroom is an "awwwww" when a lesson must end, and the students want more!
