Class Information:
Students per Class: 120/year
Class Description:
I teach Biology to all levels of student. Most of my students are 9th and 10th graders. Some years I teach Environmental Science to 11th and 12th graders.
Position:
Science Teacher
Needs:
I need technology! I love teaching with technology, but my resources are limited. I would use netbooks, a SMART board and tablet EVERYDAY if I had them.
My Philosophy:
I believe that students learn better when they are met where they are. And they are immersed in technology. I want to use all of the cool Web 2.0 tools that are out there to make school fun and engaging. I want what I teach them to stick long after the End of Course Test.
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love learning and I want to instill that love in my students. I want them to know that school can be fun and that knowledge is powerful. I consider my high schoolers my kids and I care about their futures so I try to teach them as much about Biology and the world around them as I can in the short time that I get to be a part of their lives.
