The student will create digital media while creating personal examples of poetry.

The student will create personal examples of the different types of poetry based on the given guidelines for each style of poetry.

Day 1 Students will go outside the school and take pictures of nature.

Day 2 Students will make use of the computer lab to create digital media of the pictures.

Day 3 Students will create poetry based on the teacher given guidlines to add to the slide show.

Day 4 Students will make use of peer review check list to peer edit the poetry and provide feedback to each other.

Day 5 Students will revise (if needed) their poetry and begin presenting the slide shows to teacher for grade.
Slide shows will be graded using a Rubric.

Day 6 Students will continue to present slide shows.

Day 7 Students will finish presenting the slide shows for a grade.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Students could take pictures of items in nature that appear in wholes or fragments (ants, bugs, leaves, trees) and create slide shows to present ideas to class.
Follow-Up
Students would show thier revised slide shows at Parent Night and Technology Night.
