Explain to students what sequencing is:

Student are read a short story of three or four paragraphs. Teacher then makes small boxes of information of details from the story. The students are given scissors to cut out the boxes. The back of the boxes are numbered. When students are finished putting boxes in order, they turn over the cards and see if they are in seuencial order 1,2,3...etc. If they re stucents are ready to move on to the next story. If a student has difficulty sequencing pair them up with a student who is not having problems and allow them to talk it through together.
