What is....... Stories

The students will decide on a topic of interest in a small group. The students will then choose some objects that would represent the chosen topic.

The students will then photograph the objects, focusing on taking interesting photos. They will do this by taking pictures at different angles, zooming in and using the rule of thirds.

After the students have compiled their digital pictures, they will download them into iphoto or other photo program. From there, they will edit their photos. They will choose their best 10 pictures and download them into Powerpoint.

After the students have created 10 slides on Powerpoint, each child will write a reflection about a few of the pictures and why it represents that topic. Each slide should have about two or three sentences on it, with the picture inserted above it.

Students will then print off the Powerpoint slides and compile them into a book. Their cover will have a picture from their book and the title will be What is ____________? (Whatever they chose for their topic).
