Each class will read different, yet specific, novels (Treasure Island, Hoot, Crispin:Cross of Lead, etc.-any novel could work). After each section or reading assignment is read, students will create a visual book report or summary of the story. Students will be placed on teams: editing, recording, writing, photography, etc.). Each team will be responsible for working in unison with the other teams in creating a visual retelling of that weeks reading assignment. The recreation of the book will be used in combination with reading it. After each class is finished with the visual novels, other classes will view the products in supplement to reading.
Student are soley responsible for the end product.

You could actually illustrate chapters in history books (or any other subject).
