We will look at various photographers.Examples are Nan Goldin(modern) and VanDer Zee (Harlem Renaissanse photographer).
The questions will be what do these artists say about the subjects through their artwork?
What story do the subjects tell through the things they surround themselves with?
The sudents will practice telling a story through a picture using their classmates.
They must include details, objects, to help tell the story of the subject.
The learners will also take photographs of people in their community that are interesting or made an impact on them in some way.
We, as a class, will critique the photographs on content, compostion and creativity.
Materials: Point and Shoot, Camera Bags, xD Memory Cards, Batteries
