Throughout the school year science students and their teachers will photograph/videotape students conducting lab activities and working on class work.

Some of the photographs will be displayed weekly in the halls to generate interest in the class. Some of the videotapes will be offered to the media department to use in the weekly schoolwide presentation of School News.

Two weeks prior to enrollment for the next school year students in upper level science classes will be assigned to participate in the development of a media blitz to advertise their course.

Students will be allowed to select which aspect of the advertisement they wish to work on: posters, flyers, a jingle to be read during announcements and a video advertisement. Student choice is very importan as it allows students to show creativity in a field they find intersting. For example, students who excell in music may chose to write and record a jingle. Students will be allowed to use any of the photographs and videos taken during the year.

One week before pre-registration, the media blitz will be released. Posters will be mounted in all halls. Flyers will be made available in the counslor's office, library, lunch room and science class rooms. The video advertisement will show on the School News and the jingle(s) will read during daily announcements.
