This project is designed to help students reinforce learning and teaching math concepts with use of fun and songs. My students worked in groups of no more than three or else to complete their presentations. Their final presentations were replayed to all students who then could hear the songs and little mneumonics used to learn concepts.

In my attempt to implement this activity this year, I fell short of the final production because of lack of having the software and compatibility with camera equipment. The students enjoyed being able to sing, dance, or create a newscast about their math concept.

This project incorporated math vocabulary as well because the students had to discuss their concept and use terminology that related.

Students were graded based on a rubric designed to ensure they covered their concept, used vocabulary, props, and personality to their performance.
Comments
I was surprised at how many students were eager to present to the video camera and see themselves on the big screen versus having to get up and present a report orally.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Could be implemented in any discipline that stresses vocabulary or songs for learning.

Video has been saved in format currently with the hope of gaining more technology to enhance future performances.
