With the International Weather Project we are working with Japan, China, and the UK to study climatic conditions over a select period of time. We are the only school in the United States participating in this project. Our objectives are as follows:

-To monitor the weather by taking a variety of key measurements in different geographical locations in the U.S., China, Japan and the UK, over a total period of 8 weeks or longer.
-To compare the data internationally, from the different geographical regions and over different historical periods.
-To analyze the data and make relevant conclusions about possible climate change.
-To collaborate international, on presenting the information in the form of PowerPoint, i-movie, pictures of each day measurement are taken and posters with visual pictures of Michigan and it's changing environment.

We are actively comparing data online at a HYPERLINK "http://www.japanuklive.com" www.japanuklive.com. On this website students are sharing current weather conditions in their geographic present region. Students also are able to chat to each other about the project and the progress that each school is making. Another aspect of this project we are working on is the data presentation. The data presentation will be used/presented in Japan in October at the International Global Warming Youth Conference. We are presently seeking data on weather records, natural disasters, polar ice caps, ocean/lake temperatures, increase of CO2 levels in the atmosphere, the suns effect on Earth, and cyclical patterns. Students will also put together a visual presentation on their findings. Students will use digital pictures and video to show the impact of global warming on the environment.

Comments
After finishing the International Weather Project we will be working with the United Kingdom students on an a "Going Green" project were students from my school and the UK will perform projects and tasks to better our environment and the surrounding community.
