Keywords: Scrapbooking
Subject(s): Writing, Photography
Grades K through 2
School: Cedar Ridge Elementary School, Columbia, MO
Planned By: Julie Schisler
Original Author: Julie Schisler, Columbia
We will plan 3 field trips throughout the school year (Pumpkin Patch, ZOO, and Farm). The students will then take cameras with them and take pictures of different things throughout the field trips. When we return they will choose pictures from the field trip to make a scrapbook. They will use the pictures to help write about their experiences on the field trips. This will help students who have never been away from their home experience things they might never experience again.
Comments
We would need the bus for 3 different days for 8 hours each day for $30 an hour.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
This would go along with our literacy, science and social studies curriculum
Follow-Up
We will write about each experience and make a scrapbook with the pictures when we return from each trip!
