As we make our way through the alphabet we will brainstorm various items that start with that letter and collectively decide what we are going to cook or bake. Being a Kindergarten classroom we try and keep it simple, as the children get older the recipes can get progressively harder . We will be writing the steps or directions and taking a picture of each one so when we finish we will have a cook book of sorts, with step by step color photo directions for fool proof cooking and baking. We all love to look at food pictures that are appealing and attractive, and North Carolina is encouraging healthy eating habits as part of our health curriculum.
