Day 1 - 5: Students will learn the basics of Powerpoint including how to insert audio and video clips, hyperlinks, animations and slide transitions.
Day 6 - 10: Teach students the basics of publics speaking. The Edhelper website has a great four day lesson plan called "Panic, Preparation, Practice, and Panache." The "panache" is, of course, the adding the Powerpoint presentation to the recitation of poetry.

Students will have several days to create Powerpoints and practice public speaking with partners.

Administrators and teachers who have planning periods during our poetry slam period will be invited to attend the great slam!
