Keywords: retelling, reenacte, dramatize
Subject(s): Early Learning
Grade K
School: Minco Elementary School, Minco, OK
Planned By: Patricia Savage
Original Author: Patricia Savage, Minco
Students will be able to recite poems, rhymes and songs taught in the classroom. In doing so students will use the flip camcorder to retell, reenact or dramatize a poem, rhyme, song, or story read. I can record myself reading a poem, rhyme, song, or story being read to the students. Students then can review video in library or literacy center and retell, reenact or dramatize what has been taught. Students will also be able to use puppets or other figures and objects to record themselves reenacting the poem, rhyme, and story. Students will be able to video tape objects that rhyme with objects in the rhymes. Then we can upload their video to an iPod and the smartboard for students and parents to view. This will allow parents to be involved with the learning of their children.
