1. Please have all students sit where they can see the LCD projector. Project www.nba.com from your computer as an example. Ask students for help in seeking out win/loss records for several teams.
2. Please open Excel.
3. In the first column write Team Name. Under that list the team names.
4. In the second column write Wins. Record the wins for the teams.
5. In the third column write Losses. Record the losses.
6. Use the mouse to click and drag and select the entire area.
7. Click Insert. Click a chart type that you like.
8. I've found that bar type graphs usually turn out very well.

Show the students how easy it was to create a chart. Explain that they can use this same concept for reports, posters, etc. Send each student to a computer to do exactly what you just did. I allow students to choose other sports if they do not like basketball.
