Students will use creative writing skills to complete projects as assigned.
Grades 3-8

Projects can include:

The students will write a commercial advertising a product, do a public service announcement or a political ad.
The student write the script and plan a story board to shoot the commercial.

The students will write a "Fractured Fairytale" using a standard fairytale and changing details to make it fractured. Students can dress as characters or make puppets for the characters.

The students will write a script for a "Claymation" story. When the script and storyboard are complete, the project is shot in short segments, using clay figures. Each movement of the figure is taped and then the next movement is taped to show action. A special feature is to shoot some video of the figure, then stop the camera and remove the figure so that it looks like it disappeared.

Science Fairs and History Fairs provide an excellent opportunity for students to present their project orally so that they can review their performance.
