|
Purpose: Students will make videos of Earth Science Concepts and How it affects their world.
Materials: Flip Video cameras, Journal
Notes: This will be used as a review Lesson to help prepare for State testing.
Procedure: 1. Divide Students into groups of 4 or 5. Assign 1-2 cameras/group. 2. Have each group pick an Earth Science concept. For example: rocks, volcanoes, meteorology. Each group will then need to review their notes, research their topic further, see how their topic fits into the world around them and develop a script. 3. Groups are to keep a journal of all their work. 4. Their videos must include the following: synopsis of their topic, how the topic affects their world. 5. Present their Video to class. 6. Classmates take notes from presentation.
Assesment: Students will be graded by accuracy, creativity, usefulness.
Conclusion: I wish this project to not only help review, but also help see students answer the question "Why do I need to learn this" |
