Each group of students(3-4) will be given a god name. They would work collaboratively to create a video (like a public service announcement or commercial) explaining the god's powers as they related back in mythology and also compare them to what that would look like today.

In class, we would research the god and thier power by using the library, internet and textbook.

As a teacher, I would pick the 10 most common gods and have the students create the videos in class and at home. Students would be required to edit and critically think about what content they would like to include in their clip.

Before I would let my students use the flip cameras, I would talk to them about the importance of staying true to the art form of video art making. I would talk about how the end product needs to be quality work, that they will need to work together to make and edit something that they and their parents would be proud to watch and show their neighbors.

At the end of the lesson, the students would be given a bingo chart with gods and powers and we would watch the videos as a class. Students would fill in the chart and write a summary about what they learned.

It is my experience that students will not only learn a lot about their own god, but will learn from the others presenting a video. I think high achieving students could work well with lower acheivers to get this done.
