School: Ocoee Middle School, Ocoee, FL
Planned By: Autumn Hassell
Original Author: Autumn Hassell, Ocoee
Objective: Learning how to perform on camera and being evaluated by peers.

Concept: Using the flip cameras we will assign groups of 2 or 3 in the classroom to perform a piece of music. The students may choose to perform as an ensemble (a group) or as a soloist. Each group or individual will be recorded and then will watch their video and using a performance evaluation sheet write down things that they would do to improve their performance. Students will then work on these corrections and once again perform on camera. Students will be encouraged to be creative with their performance. They can improvise, add movement, costumes, etc. It must be relative to what they are performing. Once the students have completed their videos they will play them in front of their classmates (the other groups) and for their teacher. The best performance (picked by students and teachers) will be aired on the morning announcements to the entire school.
