School: Olathe South High School, Olathe, KS
Planned By: Rebecca Reyes
Original Author: Rebecca Reyes, Olathe
Create an eduational video that would be able to teach another high school student about important topics related to banking (identiy theft, Savings, Investing, ATM Safety, etc.).

Your target audience is other high school students, video has to be engaging and keep the audience attention while still presenting relevant important facts.

Before you begin you will need to research the topic and find interesting fact and accurate information to include in your video. You will also need to write a script for the video to be turned in ahead of time. The videos will need to be between 1 -2 minutes. You will be graded on your script, the video and time management!

Good luck and HAVE FUN!

Comments
I began making students create videos about relevant topics, when they were complaining on how cheesy or outdated the educational videos I was showing were. This gave students ownership, and is now used as an end assessment during the unit on Banking.
Follow-Up
Group members will do a reflection on how teamwork progressed throughout the process, (what went well, what they would have changed) They will also grade their group members on their efforts.

Classroom Screenings: Class will watch all of the videos made by the classes with a simple rubric on grading them.
Materials: Flip Video, CDs and DVDs
