School: Harmony Interm School, Big Sandy, TX
Planned By: Pam Hoelscher
Original Author: Pam Hoelscher, Big Sandy
Students will work in pairs to demonstrate one of the following strategies from math class -- our problem solving strategy, elapsed time chart, unit conversions, multiplication process, division algorith, comparing fractions tool, and Big F for finding factors. Each pair will be assigned one strategy to demonstrate and record. They must explain each step in the process and demonstrate as they go. The students can choose to have an "audience" class or present their strategy as one-on-one instruction. The video will then be uploaded and available through the teacher's website for parents or students to have as a resource to reinforce classroom instruction. These videos will also be very instrumental in providing support to students who are absent from classroom instruction.
