School: Pine Trail Elementary School, Ormond Beach, FL
Planned By: Carmen Romanowski
Original Author: Carmen Romanowski, Ormond Beach
The objective is for children to be introduced to Technology concepts by filming each other and editing their video.

The materials needed will be a video camera with a usb port, computer, soccer field, soccer ball, cones, and a movie maker program to edit the video.

The instructor will assign the children to the particular jobs. There will be two cooperative groups. In each group, there will be one Sports Broadcaster (interviewer) and one child filming along with an assistant. The rest of the children will be divided into two teams to play soccer.

The instructor will give the children ample time to brainstorm and write a script and/or questions to ask when interviewing the player. The instructor will preview and check scripts for grammatical errors and for etiquette. Each group will be given 10 minutes each to film their video. They will video the teams playing each other and at the conclusion interview one or two players from the teams. The children will be reminded to use proper filming etiquette and manners.

The children will then use the movie maker program to edit and save their video. Each group will show their Sports Broadcast and at a later time have others vote on which one they like the best.

Cross-Curriculum Ideas
The children will incorporate reading, writing, spelling, and science when they research and come up with ideas for videos in regards to health and healthy eating.
Follow-Up
The children will do other videos incorporating health and healthy eating videos.
