Technology To Go!

I am a first grade teacher who has eager learners. I would like to provide a netbook computer to be checked out to students who DO NOT have access to technology at home. I would first find out which students DO NOT have a computer. Next, I would send a letter home to parents asking if they would like to check out a computer to use at home. Our school has purchased a site license to Ticket To Read a program that students can do at school and at home. This helps students improve their reading skills. Many of my students are doing this at home but at least half of my class does not have access to a computer at home. I would like to provide my first graders with an opportunity for them to practice reading at home.
