Teacher will set a bouquet of wildflowers in the center of the table. Children will sit around the table with their paper and crayons. The children will draw what they see from their angle of the bouquet.
Once the drawings are complete each child will take turns taking a picture with the class camera from the seat they were sitting in to go along with their picture. We will take these drawings and pictures to large group time where we can discuss that everyone sees things differently. Every child was asked to draw what they saw and one flower could be on one side and not the other.

While printing the copy to go along with each child's drawing, print a second copy. At large group time assemble the pictures into a collage on a large piece of construction paper/poster board. Have children draw a stem from their picture to the edge of the paper. Label the collage as a "Garden of View" to show each child's perception of how something can view the same thing differently, but in the large picture everyone is correct.
Comments
Check with your local florist to see if they will save their extra flowers they don't use in their arrangements. This way you get a variety of flowers, they are donated, and you can have flowers in the winter months if you wanted to schedule this lesson plan in those months.
Follow-Up
Watch the changes in the flowers once they have been sitting. Investigate how to keep them alive longer, dissect the different parts of the flowers, dry out and press flowers and turn it into a math activity (counting pedals, patterns, measurements)
