Bristow Middle School is a small Middle School with 440 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders. I am the new Art Teacher at Bristow and I teach all three levels. Our proud motto is: Work Hard, Be Safe, Be Fair.

The lesson plan would be to create an animated stop motion movie that relates to one aspect of the school motto. Materials to be used would be plasticine clay, paper for signage, and other miscellaneous materials for the background. Students will work in groups of four, write a script, create a simple story board, design the titles, design a set, then create the characters out of plasticine. I have 3 computers in my room that we can use for the project (plus my own laptop).

This past summer I just started learning about stop action videotaping. I am very excited to input this into my curriculum. This sounds like a great program. Please consider my application for this grant.
