Students will rotate through three centers daily. One center is always comprehension. The other center is a skill that we are studying. The final center is always a computer center, focusing on vocabulary, comprehension, or language. We have five computers at our computer center. Many times there are more than five students in a center. We would use i pads in this center when there are not enough computers available. I would also like i pads for the other two centers, as well. In the comprehension center, it would be used as a tool for clarifying information they do not understand in their reading passages. In the skill center, the i pad would be used for research. I pads would also be a great asset for our students with disabilities. Many of these students are on different academic levels, so i pads would give an opportunity for more individualized instruction.
Materials: Projectors, LCD Monitors
Other Items: 5 i pads, $300.00 each, total of $1500.00
