Objective: Students will complete a documentary based on their personal history. Students will use digital camera technology to complete documentary. Students will introduce their history to others in the classroom. This project is designed to teach multi-media skills to preserve personal history and enhance communications between students and family.
Content to be learned: Students will learn to use a camera and software to preserve family artifacts.
Assessment of learning: Teacher designed scoring guide.
Motivation / Anticipatory Set: Students will introduce themselves to others in their classroom. There are always events in students lives that others are not aware of. PSlideshow presentations could also be burned to a CD and used as presents for family members.
Follow-Up
This could be an ongoing project for every year. The students progress both educational and personal would be documented.
