Alphabet Track - Eight customizable activities help students locate letters quickly and consistently. Designed for inclusion teaching, students acquire spelling independence, learn letter names, practice ordering, improve short term memory, and recall alphabetic sequence.
Phoneme Track - Practice areas of phonemic weakness, and increase fluency in reading and spelling. The learner hears phonemes in words and sees the written representation of the phonemes. Activities include phoneme take-away, changes, and chains.
Spell Track - Learners ranging from pre-school to dyslexic adults will appreciate Spell Track's expertly designed, multi-sensory activities in: phonemic awareness, left-to-right tracking, word recognition, sequencing, segmenting, blending, and proofreading.
Word Track - Switch users, young students, and learners of all ages with specific learning needs will practice tracking words in the context of 180 sentences, arranged in order of increasing phonic complexity. Develops visual discrimination, proofreading, and high-frequency words.
Eye Track is designed to support learners of all ages experiencing difficulty with visual perception. Each activity has five levels of difficulty, which are set via teacher controls. Phoneme Changes - replace phoneme "o" in "log" with "e" = leg
Phoneme Chains - hear a sequence of five words. Change one phoneme at a time to give the correct chain such as "cot-cut-hut-hug-jug".

Switch users, young students, and learners of all ages with specific learning needs will practice tracking words in the context of 180 sentences, arranged in order of increasing phonic complexity. A sentence is shown on the screen and simultaneously spoken by the audio. Then it disappears, and the student tracks each word by clicking the correct words, in order, from amongst a string of other words. The appropriate punctuation mark must also be tracked. After tracking, students type the sentence with correct capitalization and punctuation. As a reward, the program colors in and animates an illustration shown with the sentence. Individualize for each learner through the teacher options. Set timing for memory work, pick colors, limit access to specific sentences, or print a report of each student's progress.
The activities in Word Track help students develop the following skills:
Reading and spelling of high frequency words and words prone to letter-order mistakes.
The use of the 'look, say, remember, type, check' spelling strategy.

A team of English students will take the role of a production company and will create a 4-5 minute film using the digital image as a medium for interpreting students’ original poems. Three classes will be working together in order to complete this project: Creative Writing, English, and The Actor’s Studio.
Students will observe weather collecting data from hand made and scientific instruments and the internet weather resources. They will correspond with weather professionals and devise their own weather forecasting video using their knowledge and vocabulary.
Through a hands-on photography lesson, students will develop and enhance writing focus, including brainstorming ideas, topic selection, word choice, and use of descriptive words. Also, students will use the printed images to inspire additional writing strategies such as developing voice, organization, and editing.
Students will create a colored pencil drawing of themselves in an environment of their choice, using a digital output of their head as the starting point. The teacher will reduce the painting to postcard size and the students will write a descriptive letter on the back.
My students will use various hands-on manipulatives while making different types of patterns (ab, abc, aabb, aabbcc, etc.) Students will use the digital camera to take a picture and write what they did!
Families are a wonderful resource of support, traditions, and stories. In this unit, my students will write a series of essays about their families that will be put together in a book that can serve a record that can be shared with family now and in the future.
