Excellent Application/Website comboI began learning Hiragana a few weeks ago using Human Japanese (which I also suggest). I needed a flashcard program. After stumbling across this app, I soon fell in love. It is well crafted despite being the author's first app. The personal list, quiz, and difficulty settings are a huge plus. But I can safely say the greatest part is the integration with the parent website Japan-activator where you can gather more exercises and lessons. I can't wait to see what he does with it in the future. Great job!

Works very nicelyJust installed and tested a few things. Many features. I like that you can quiz within kana, from hiragana to katakana and vice versa. Don't understand the comment about meaning. Kanji module does give the English translation and Japanese reading in kana. Great job. Like it.

great app!looks great. has all the functionallity i wanted. you can view the kana, click and hear it being said, practice writing it by drawing on screen, and test yourself with quizes. if you get a question wrong you can add it to a list to practice it later. great.
