The students are to make a short (30sec to 1min) commercial about our school or a subject relating to our school.

They are to use the information acquired from Digital Juice training and other videos regarding:

Rule of Thirds
Camera Shots
Tripod use
Storyboards

Using Youtube videos, I showed the students examples of each of the above ideas and they took notes to have to refer to later.

Some of the YouTube videos were:

<br>Each
section was covered in one day per video/section.

After the storyboard lessons, they were divided into 5 groups of 5 each and sent to brainstorm about a short story or commercial that they wanted to video. This took approximately 2 days.

Storyboards were submitted in their composition notebooks and they were sent out to video and then edit. All videos were made on campus.

Videoing continued for one week and editing for another.

Final commercials were submitted and viewed by all classes.

Comments
The FLIP cameras were easy to use and for the most part the sound was great. Would love to have external mics for interviewing, but they did well.
