Use a blank page on Notebook program on your smart board
Type each student's name. Set color and font size as desired
Browse Notebook gallery for picture and background. I change these weekly depending on lesson focus
Choose a picture. Size it to a suitable to accommodate a picture for each student.
Use the infinite clone option to replicate the pic. Place one picture under each student's name.
Drag cursor across student name and picture and group the two together using the group option. Do this for all students.
At the bottom of the page, draw a line across the page and lock into place using the lock option.
On the bottom left place the word "HOT" for hot lunch students and the bottom right place the word "COLD" for cold lunch students. Lock words in place.
Train students to come in and "check in" first thing. ( Drag their name to hot or cold area) Any names not placed on the "HOT or COLD" choices are your absent students.
Remember when you close the page to "Not" save so you can start with the same beginning page the next day.
This makes taking attendance fast and easy.
