The lesson plan begins with a suggested pacing guide and standards for the 4 units of study. The student guides are broken down by level of proficiency with activities to address students' level of understanding in multiple ways.

The Beginning level of proficiency address standards from previous grade levels. At this level, students will complete various concept development tasks, watch tutorial videos and/or complete Frayer Model vocabulary activities. Once students have completed these activities at their own pace, they are able to transition to the Progressing level of proficiency. Here students begin working on grade level content. They are guided through this level by tutorial videos and/or instructional reading followed by online practice activities or tasks. Students must complete a concept quiz within Google Forms in order to move on to the Proficient level of mastery. Students who do not pass will participate in a remediation session with the teacher.

Students are able to work within small groups, with a partner or independently while working on the student guides. The teacher will constantly monitor progress of students and provide support when needed. Student guides and activities referenced in the guides will be accessed through our district's learning management system.

I teach at a BYOD title 1 school. Unfortunately, not all students have devices they are able to bring to school. Our school is not 1:1, however the instructional plan I will implement requires a 1:1 learning environment.
