Oak Glen Middle School
Class Information:
Room Number: 213
Students per Class: 75
Class Description:
I teach language arts to 3 different classes throughout the day. The learners consist of a blend of special education students and non special education students. My students come from a wide range of living situations. Some do not have the tools they need to maximize their educational experience.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
My students are in great need of technology to complete their distance learning. During the shut down in the spring, many students reached out to me stating they did not have a device on which to complete their lessons. This was a huge struggle for them, their families, and me.
My Philosophy:
I believe that if I can help alleviate any stress for my students, they will become more successful. By providing them with technology and getting them set up with necessary accounts, that is one huge burden lifted from them and their family.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I am a wife, mother to a wonderful 8 year old, and a teacher. I have a crazy Golden Retriever, Parker, and a new kitten named Stella.

Employment History:
I subbed for 3.5 years in two states. In 2005, I finally received a contract to teach Title I reading. In 2006, I was transferred to OGMS to teach 5th grade. I’ve been there ever since.
Why Do I Teach?:
I want to be the person my students look forward to seeing each day. With so many different living situations, seeing the teacher is often the bright spot for some students. I want to make sure they feel comfortable, reduce their stress, and learn to their fullest potential.
