Class Description:
The Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School is an urban K - 6 Science and Technology School, committed to excellence in Education. We believe all students can excel as learners and citizens when provided a rich, supportive, and stimulating educational environment. The BBCPS is the inspiration of concerned community leaders, parents, and educators, with the common vision and purpose of providing all Cambridge and local youth, regardless of race, culture, language or socioeconomic status with a high quality education.

Needs:
We live in a world of technology. Kids use technology in every facet that they are capable. They have video games, TVs, computers, cellphones, and they are constantly looking for the next best thing. It can be challenging at times to compete with the age of technology and traditional teaching methods. That's why I think its important, more than ever, to integrate technology in classroom instruction whenever possible. This will help increase student engagement, motivation, and inevitably, behavior.
My Philosophy:
Every child can learn when given a supportive, rich, engaging learning environment. The expectations must be held high for all learners and the teacher must do everything in their power to show children they are capable and can be successful.

I have been teaching for 6 years now and I continue to love it. My students continue to inspire me and I work harder every day to support them.
