Urban first grade classroom with a variety of academic levels. Most of my students qualify for free lunch. Eager to learn.
Position:
First
Needs:
{encils, pencils, pencils! The wider ticonderoga style are especially nice. Books, books, books! My students cannot afford to buy books from book clubs, so I purchase books for them. I would love to have the means to purchase a Smart Board. This is a highly interactive tool that most suburban schools have in almost every classroom.
My Philosophy:
Every child can learn to the best of his or her ability. If many of the basics don't come from home, I need to find a way to supply resources for my students. I believe in all my students; I must. They are the future.
