I teach Visual Communications 1-4, Media Arts 1 and Drawing 1-4. My kids are energetic, and I try to match them. I teach different things each semester, so one semester in VC1 will be in the computer lab, then 2-4 will be in the classroom. We do darkroom Black and White photography, so they're split between my room and the darkroom. In Drawing you can find us here, or anywhere in or out-of the building!
Position:
Art Teacher
Needs:
I use digital imaging in each of my classes in one way or another. We would like to shoot our own photos for Visual Communications 2-4 and be able to use them right away for our Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign documents. In Drawing, we borrowed another teacher's digital camera to take photos of each student for a self portrait. I've only been able to teach Media Arts 1, where we use a simple point & shoot film camera for every assignment, but when I'm able to teach the higher levels, we'll be using digital cameras. Our school is 43% free & reduced lunch, so these programs could greatly use the grants/mobile digital studio!
