Introduction to Manufacturing Technology: Students learn about manufacturing processes, how manufacturing works as a system and different types of manufacturing systems. They individually make a custom made clock and later work as a class company and mass produce a gumball machine. Introductionto Engineering and Robotics: Students learn about what engineers do, the Engineering Design Process, and robotics. They form small engineering teams and build, program and test Lego Mindstorms NXT robots.
