About Me:
My name is Dale Niemeier-Biegler. I have been teaching for 17 years and working with the Reading Buddy Program for 10 years. My husband and I have 10 children and 20 grandchildren.
College and Degrees:
I have an undergraduate degree from UTEP and graduate courses from Dallas Baptist University and Southern Methodist University.
Activities:
My husband and I spent all our Saturdays at children's soccer games and our Tuesday nights at volleyball games. We are active in our community and in our church. We also have season ticket to FCDallas in Frisco, Texas.
Favorite Books:
Too numerous to mention.
Favorite Quotes:
"Yesterday is a canceled check, tomorrow is a promissory note, only today is legal tender. Use today well!"
Interests:
My interests, other than my children and grandchildren, tend to be school related. I am involved in and responsible for Benchmarks on my campus, the FastFor Word computer program serving 150 students on the campus as well as testing and monitoring 43 students, 9th-12th, who have been diagnosed with dyslexia. I am the District insurance representative from my campus and the Elective Dept. Chr. with a responsibility for 18 instructors. I am also the Student Council sponsor for the Freshman Student Council.
Employment History:
Financial Services Industry, Securities Licensed for 10 years (this career helped me pay for the college costs of some of my children, when I was a single Mom). Teacher for 17 years, the first three years when I was 18,19 and 20, then I returned to teaching after my youngest graduated from Texas A&M and have been in my district for the last 15 years.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love working with teenagers and still wake up every morning happy to go to my job. I have great students. These teens represent the future and I like the feeling of "...being able to touch the future in a positive way....".
