I teach science to 6th, 7th and 8th grades. We cover Life, Earth and Physical Science. My room is small but will be remodeled next year. I have furnished my own classroom computers from computers I have built at home and school.
Position:
Science Teacher
Needs:
My students often work in groups of four and I would really love to have at least a laptop for each workgroup. Samsung chromebooks are relatively inexpensive and should work fine for my classes, since they have good battery life.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy revolves around the notion of empower students to ask questions, be creative, enjoy science and thinking about the world. Finding evidence to support explanations is a major part of critical thinking and science is the perfect venue for developing this lifelong skill.
