Needs:
Equipment needs are required to advance the classroom to the 21st century. Technology will be used to podcast lectures and student presentations. Technology will also be used to make deeper qualitative observations, both in the laboratory and in the field, in the form of digital photographs of observations.
My Philosophy:
I believe that students learn best when they process the information for themselves. Although I am a valuable resource of information, students internalize the information to a deeper level when they discover ideas for themselves and apply their knowledge in relevant ways, such as designing cumulating projects or solving realistic, scenario-based problems.
