Class Description:
My classroom is split between two schools to provide services for the gifted and talented population within each school. These students are often quirky, but hands-on and fast learners.
Position:
Gifted and Talented Education Specialist
Needs:
I need the technology that some day these students will be innovating and inventing.
My Philosophy:
You don't learn the sport on the sidelines. You need to play to get the deeper understanding to be an expert.
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach G/T because these students are often at risk of dropping out when they are older. They are often underachievers due to boredom and lack of appropriate challenges. I love having students on the edge of their seats learning, and hope that my G/T lessons are the difference between future success or dropout.
