Needs:
This year I have several non-verbal communicators in the classroom. I wish to utilize the most recent software in facilitating speech and developing social skills. New software is available for the I-pad/ I-touch. I believe the “coolness” factor will also generate interest for the student to use it to a greater extent than the augmented speech devices they currently have. This new and latest software/hardwarewill help my students move into the new age of technology
My Philosophy:
Students with Autism are capable of becoming functioning and contributing members of society. They just need direct instruction and repeated pratice!

Why Do I Teach?:
I consider myself extremely lucky to have found a career which is my passion. I enjoy my job immensely and at the end of the day I feel rewarded. I put forth great effort in my duties as a teacher so that my work is useful to the students and their families in helping their child to achieve their full potential.
