Why I need this:
Incorporating technology in reading and in Social Studies better provides for the needs of multiple intellengences. Not only will the average student, but, also, the the English Language Learner and students with special education needs, will greatly benefit from this educational experience. The combination of vivid visuals combined with adequate sound effects would certainly stimulate any presentation. The Power Point presentations created by the teacher could easily be shared and simultaneously implemented. By having more than one classroom projectors, grade levels could collaborate within the grade levels and across the grade levels. Furthermore, having a classroom projector would assist in bringing the resources not available in outdated and biased books that usually do little to stimulate interpretive discussions. Overall, if our urban middle school had three classroom projectors then we would effectively utilize it to nurture critical thinkers. |
